DUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Prepare meeting
packs and distribute them timeously. Maintain filing system. Perform
administrative work in support of the unit functions and operations. Update and
maintain an up-graded manual and electronic filing system of documents to
ensure proper administration and easy access of such information whenever
required. Keep record of all incoming and outgoing documents in the unit.
Photocopying and faxing documents. Perform basic finance routine tasks such as
preparing invoices and bank deposits. Co-ordinate all arrangements for functions,
events, meetings, workshops and forums. Make travel arrangements for the unit.
Co-ordinate courier services and deliveries. Order / purchase stationery as well
as other office supplies for the unit. Act as general receptionist for the unit.

IT Store Controller

POST 21/52 : IT STORE CONTROLLER REF NO: HRMC 36/13/16

SALARY : Basic salary R170 799 – R201 195 per annum (Level 7). In addition to the stated

CENTRE : Directorate: Service Delivery Management, Head Office, Pretoria
REQUIREMENTS : A Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification at
NQF level 6 in the related field with a minimum of 2 years experience in IT Asset
control and/or a Grade 12 Certificate with a 3 years experience in IT Asset control
is required. Knowledge and understanding of Public Service Regulatory
Framework Sound knowledge of the Protection of information Act 84 of 1982 and
the Promotion of Access to information Act 2 of 2000. Knowledge of Public
Finance Management Act . Traveling maybe required Extended working hours
maybe required . Knowledge of the Immigration Act, Refugee Act, South African
Refugee Act. Knowledge of International Conventions and Protocols relating to
status of refugees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Client oriented.
Honesty and Integrity. Computer literacy is essential, A Valid driver’s licence.
DUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible for the following specific tasks:
Ensure optimum inventory levels in storeroom Receive, bar- code and dispatch of
IT assets Capture all stock information onto the in-house system and IT Asset
Register Enter stock items in the system and allocate them to respective areas
Record and enter serial numbers on all stock into and out of the storeroom
Monthly reports to supervisor on IT assets audit queries Maintain the acquisition
and safekeeping of IT assets in the storeroom Conduct physical verification of IT
assets that leads cycle counts discrepancies Provide assistance to conduct
quarterly IT asset verification and reconcile with departmental financial system
(BAS/ LOGIS) Processes end user requests for software, hardware and
maintenance needs Update asset record database timorously and reconciliation
of all acquired assets paper work Maintain security and accountability of
inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification
Monthly stock take and reconciliation of stock and reconciling delivery notes
Comply governance processes, frameworks and procedures Comply with
legislation, regulations, DHA policies and procedures Ensure compliance with all
asset audit requirements.
